Painting fenders???

Someone said you could paint your fenders. I want black fenders, But my stock are still perfect. What kind of paint would i use to paint my fenders? Any help is greatly apreciated.

You can use any automotive type paint system. I painted my fenders with House of Kolor paint. They turned out great. Sand them down with 320 grit, prime, paint, and clear. Results are far better than stock.

best thing is that you can change the colors anytime you want. It does not take much paint to cover the fenders, and cost far less than new fenders. You can have new looking fenders anytime and all the time.

I sanded my fenders today and sprayed a coat of pimer on, Tommarow color, next day clear coat. Thanks for the help guys!

ps does it chip off or just scratch if you flip or roll?

My suggestion: Color coat and clear during the same day. Usually within an hour of each other. This gives time for the two coats to bond. Follow the directions from the paint manufacturer.

Painting your plastic on your atv is easier said than done.Atv plastic is either polyethelene or polypropelene.There is nothing on the market that will soften either of these.Plastic has to be roughed up really good,then primed,sanded and reprimed.All products should have a flex additive also.There is one other choice.A product I have tried and works pretty good-Bulldog adhesion promoter.With either of these choices if you bend or stress plastic to far it will show.
