the cam chain tensioner was worn badly, is this normal? The engine does not appear to have many hours on it.

 

The engine is complete and I started the quad up yesterday. It runs really well for having to rebuild the carb also. The carb might need some more cleaning or adjusting though since it back fires and pops some. It might be running a little lean.

 

I rode it down the street yesterday and today, everything seems to work great, now i need to finish putting it back together
