I have a full supertrapp racing exhaust on my 300ex and the problem is that it sticks out to far. It sticks out past the grap bar , and the problem is that if a do a wheelie and go to far it will land on the silencer and not the grab bar.

Did you contact Supertrapp and tell them your dilema?
I have the old shorty style and mine doesn't come close to coming near the edge of the plastics. I think it ends right near the 2nd bolt in the grab bar.

I owuld contact Supertrapp and wher eyou bought the exhaust, maybe they sent you the wrong part.. Did it bolt up ok? Or did you have to fab?

I had the same problem with my wife's old 300. It had the Supertrapp EAR system. I ended up fabricating a custom grab bar. This protected the muffler, but then it wouldn't stand on the rear wheels unless I put the rear wheels on two 2 x 4's first. Nothing wrong with the exhust system, just a little too long.

no its not the ear series , or the isd2 it is the old racing sereies exhaust. It fit on ok not problems. I am wondering if there is a way to cut a part out of the silencer and weld it back together?

You could cut out part of the silencer and weld it back together but i really wouldnt reccomend it. Your exhaust was designed to operate a certain way and unless your a pipe builder i suggest 2 options, 1) just leave it alone 2) get yourself a new pipe.
