would it be worth the money to trade my 00 recon for a 01 rancher. theres nothing wrong with my recon just thought about and upgrade

 

all depends if you need more power and 4x4, and tougher steering

 

I just did exactly what you are thinking about. Sold my Recon and bought a 2001 Rancher 4x4 ES. Liked the Recon but love the Rancher. Much better ride, more power. No regrets.

 

Were you thinking 2X4 or 4X4 Rancher? Like DeadEye said, the 4X4 has much tougher steering. I love my 4X4 because I can go places no other vehicle will take me. But for just fun recreational riding-no thanks!!

 

i traded my recon for a rancher, definatly worth the money, if you get it you will imediantly notice the power of the rancher, traded my recon for the 2x4 toe shift, MUCH faster than my recon, also the power is great, my rancher does whatever i want it to do.

 

I did the same thing a year ago, and the Rancher is awsome. However, if it's within your means, keep the Recon and outright buy a Rancher. You'll not regret anything then.

I wish I would have taken my own advice last year.

 

We own both. The 4x4 Rancher has harder stearing due to the 4x4 system. It is MUCH harder to slide the rear end around on the Rancher than the Recon.

The Rancher is a great quad we have had no problems with it.
