06 400 Rancher Overheating
#1
i have a '06 Honda Rancer 400 at and latley it has been overheating after barely driving it for less than 10 min. i have cleaned the radiator countless times and it still doesnt help. Where do i check the coolant at? and what kind should i add if needed? i couldnt find the spot to check the coolant so maybe you can help!

I assume it has an oil temperature light, and that is coming on???? If it is coming on that quick (10 minutes), you may have a short or a problem with the sending unit (do you wallow in the mud?). Like he said, if the fan isn't coming on (assuming the fan is ok as well)....it probably isn't really overheating.
This is not the first time we have seen this problem posted with the 400AT! That poster thought the oil cooler was a radiator as well........

What kind of oil did you put in it?
Are the cooling fins on the motor clean?
Also, is the oil level full? I believe on that machine it is quite important to let the machine idle for about 3 minutes and sit for 2 before checking the oil without screwing the dipstick in...
