Default Snorkel Causing problems

I just installed a snorkel on my foreman and when I start to rev the motor up from idle it won't fire periodically. I tried to adjust the carburetor but I haven't mess with it before. I put the carb back to the original setting but the problem still occurs.

Same thing happened to my buddy. Engines not getting enough air. Perhaps diameter of snorkel not large enough??? Bends in the snorkel intak can restrict air flow and starve engine.

Make sure you didnt loosen any electrical connections during the install, especially the spark plug boot.

If not, could be too small piping, or too large piping causing you to have to rejet or adjust the carb.

There isn't anything wrong with wiring, all I had to do is pull the line out of the filter box and it would run properly. I don't think there is a problem with the size of the pipe because I used a 2 1/2'' inch line. I could think that the length of the hose could be the problem. I am going to try and shorten it, but what would I have to do if I need to rejet the carb?

go here to get find and order the jets you need http://www.jetsrus.com/main_page.htm

you need to take the carb out and take the bowl off, you should see 2 jets in there. replace one then put back in and see if that helped, make sure you run it for awhile. check out http://www.dansmc.com/carbs2.htm for info.

when you order the jets make sure you get 3 sizes bigger and or smaller of what is in your carb now.

Nice, I like the infor on the link. I am not going to be able to get the new jets in for a while, got a few trips and not enough time in between. I guess the snorkel will be on wait too. Thanx angain and I'm sure there will be other troubles to ask questions on when the time comes.
