I have seen so switches that allow you to shift to reverse without the use of the hand brake button.. some are pretty cheap and sound handy but do they cause other issues.. how does it avoid going into reverse if down shifting

 

I have never understood bypassing these. How much trouble is it to push a button at the same time you pull the brake??? Ok, if one can't do two things at once, then.......
