The PRM A-arm plates don't go up in the back. much unless they changed designs in the last year. They just wrap up around the bottom A-arm. After looking at Texmuds shots his actually look like they go higher in the front then PRM's. But you don't have exposed bolts on the bottom with PRM design.

 

You can trim those bolts. I have done that since taking those pictures.

 

TEXMUD- Last I heard from PRM they did not yet have a Skid Plate for the Rubicon. Have you considered the Armordillo from www.atvtires.com ?
It is .250 plastic and supposedly will not crack. They just released the Rubicon belly plate on Jan. 25 and it replaces the factory belly pan. They also told me that it has holes in it for the 2 drain plugs and oil filter access so you will not have to remove it for routine service like you do on the factory pan. The cost delivered to U.S. residents is $85.00 I think (the place is in Canada). Just a thought-let me know what you think about it.

 

I talked to the guy at PRM today. He said they would make one in March.

I saw the Armadillo one. I saw the picture of the Rancher one they made and I cant stand the way it looks. It should be hidden. They have it so that it replaces the stock bash. I just think it looks cheap. I am leary of plastic. Some people swear by it, but I am worried about coming down hard on a rock. The plastic may be fine, but for peace of mind I want metal or some sort.

 

Cartman don't get the PRM a-arm plates. I bought them for my 450...they don't offer great protection. They especially leave the outer part of the c-v joint unprotected and the left guard almost ruined my c-v joint because the guard would make contact with the c-v joint when the front end had some load on it. PRM's belly, rear diff and bash plate are tops(I have them).
Then I researched and bought aluminum products a-arm guards. They cover everything..best protection by far.

 

By comparing the two shot of the 450 and the rancher they look diffrent
