Default 12:1 comp...

im looking to put a new piston in my 250x and wanna go with a wiseco piston. my question is with the 12:1 comp ratio can i still run pump gas or do i need race fuel?

IMHO no way are you going to get away with pump gas with a 12 to 1 piston. Maybe if you lived at 12,000 and rode it around when it's 40 degrees or so.

A mix, sure, but not straight pump gas.

I was thinking the same. Prolly have to do some timing changes for pump gas

thanks for the reply guys....i know from running around the same ratio in my drag car i need 110 oct, i just didn't know if single cylinder quad engine was alittle more forgiving. i guess i'll stick a pro x piston in there or a oem one.
