300 EX clutch
#1
I am going to put a clutch in a buddy's 300ex this weekend. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to installing this thing? I put one in my Lakota with a manual conversion & it was easy. I just wanted to make sure I didn't need any special tools to do this! Is there anywhere on the net withinstructions or diagrams on this?
Thanks

Can't help much with the 300EX projet, 98Lakota, other than recommending an impact wrench if you must remove shaft nuts, but: got a question for YOU!
Does your manual clutch conversion on your Lakota leave the centrifugal primary clutch in place and functioning, or is the centrifugal clutch replaced/defeated?
Thanks for any info.

The centrifigal (sp?) part is gone. There is a shaft going into the side case just like any other manual clutch, mine is just made from scratch. The only bad think about this conversion is that it is very hard to pull in the lever, I even swithced to a KX dirtbike lever, which helped a little, but it is still very stiff. I plan on putting 2 factory springs and 2 heavy springs in to see if that helps. Right now it has 4 heavy springs.
Any more ?'s, just ask...
