Default 09 Rincon (How far on a tank of Gas)

How far will i be able to go if riding conditions are 15-25 mph on well graded trails. The reason I ask, Is that we have a trip planned and our initial run will be at least 90 miles before we will be able to get fuel. Need to know how much fuel to bring.

I have gone about 50 miles on a tank and got nearly 20 miles/gallon. Was just wondering if anyone has run till almost empty. If so, how far was it.

You might get 90 if you are lucky.

That can vary quite a bit, depending on if you are in 4x4, how soft or steep the trails are...

I have a Rancher 420, i know its not a Rinconbut this may help as a referance. Last weekend my wife and I went riding and i was able to go 95 before I had to fill up, but with that the Rancher is lighter and has a great fuel injection system.

You will ALWAYS run out of gas when you least expect it.

Yeah, I had to get towed the last 200 yards to the gas station when I was riding a borrowed Rubicon down by Yuma...

In a past ride, my buddy on a 650 Rincon and me on the Foreman got to 100 miles w/o running out. Both of us had been on reserve for quite a while (and we were both carrying extra gas).

Thanks guys. Like I said the first leg will be 90 miles, so I figure i will take an extra gallon or two to make sure I get there. I just didn't want to take way more fuel than I needed.

I'd for sure carry 2 or 3 extra gallons for that.

Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. As a pilot, I learned the 2 most useless things are the runway behind you and the fuel you didn't put in the plane. What if you get stuck? You'll use gas trying to get unstuck. And what if you take a wrong turn? I think a gallon minimum, but I also think 2 is plenty. That's per quad, not total.
