2004 TRX 350TE Starter Question
This Rancher has been great, but think starter is gone. Tested selenoid/relay and it is good. Brushes are good in starter, but will not turn.
When going to order a starter none of the OEM parts diagrams match the starter I have.
Mine has a hardwired harness, and the parts diagrams show a more traditional starter with a power post. I have a 2 hour round trip to the dealer, but it may be worth it to not order the wrong starter.
Any experience out there with these starters? Is there a diode or circut to check other than the starter relay/selenoid? Thanks with any help.

I'm with hondamechanic,..I havent ever seen a starter motor like what you describe on a Rancher 350. In fact, they use the same starter brushes across the entire TRX line so I have no idea why you have something that is different.
Are you sure you aren't looking at the ES shift motor instead of the starter motor?
