i have a twist throttle on my 2000 300ex and i want to change it back to a thumb throttle. can i use the same cable or will i have to change the cable too.

 

I think you have to change the cable together with the assembly.

 

I know of some twist throttles that use the stock cable I 'm not sure if yours does but if it is the stock I don't see why you couldn't use it again. I would say to look up what a stock cable looks like and compare them. (Service manual, or maybe somewhere on the internet)

 

i had to change the cables they were different.so i have the cable and the whole twist assembly.it is still in very nice shape.i would like to sell it for $20.00 if anyone wants it let me know thanks..
