Got mine direct from the Honda dealer, along with a new case. It was $70 total.

Check ALL ele. connections and put silicon GREASE in the connections.
This will help with 99% of the honda rancher at trany problems. This will not help bad recalled ecm or bad clutch problems. Most problems are ele. in nature and the grease will help in the long run.

did you check the ele. connections up front under the handel bars? Should be 4 to 6 if I remember correctly....blow out all connections with air and grease with silicon grease.
be sure you installed angle sensor correctly, but you appear to have the same problem before and after the change.
Keep us posted
