I need to replace the rear axle bearings on my 1997 honda 300fw. Any tips or tricks?

Just dd my 300 ex, very simple process. I recomend pulling it apart prior to buying the parts. If the races are difficult to get out of the carrier just buy an after market carrier on ebay. Has greese fitting and oversized bearings and seals ready to go. You can get after market bearing kit on ebay for about 50 bucks or you can get the whole carrier assembly for about 100 bucks. about a third of Honda prices and still a very good product. Remeber the axle bolt is left handed thread. You have to back both nuts off so you can remove the clip. Everthing should pull out of the left side of the quad once you have removed the bolt, nuts and clip from the right side.
