I have 98 Foreman 450 ES, that just died while riding it. The ignition fuse blew, so I know I have a short somewhere. I unplugged one of the connectors to the ECU and after turning on the key the fuse now doesn't blow. Does anyone have any experience with testing an ECU? Do think it could be the problem.

Only thing I know about them (and the manual says this) is if everything else tests good, the ECU is bad. There is no fix to one. You have to get a new one. Ebay.
