2005 Honda TRX650
I just bought this Rincon atv for $1500 not running it needs some wheel bearings and a few other small items and it shows around 5k miles. This has some 29.5 mud tires, lift kit, aftermarket shocks, and thicker rear axles. I got it from the original owner who rode it to the machine limits and then some for that 5k.
So I removed the cylinder head to inspect the timing chain and noticed the chain came off the cam gear and it broke one of the guides. The timing chain is very stiff and there are a few links that are locked up. I have not determined whether the engine needs to be removed in order to get the front cover off. It appears the trans compnents will be behind this cover. I would love to find a few diagrams or any thoughts on my project. Thanks

For 5 bucks...this can't be beat:

I have purchased two manuals from this particular person and am well satisfied. The last one I purchased was a Honda Shop manual for my son's 09 Recon.

Thanks got me a manual and I will hopefully have this running in a couple weeks.
Here are a few parts i have ordered in order to get the engine running let me know if I forgot something.
Permatex Silicon - front cover
top end gaskets
timing chain
chain guide
oil pump chain
front driveshaft shaft seal
honda oil
green anti-freeze
Thanks for any help!

There several other things that need to be addressed with this machine so I hope 1k will fix it and I will come out ahead. The tires are 29.5 outlaws and they are just too much as I have to replace every ball joint and wheel bearing before I ride. The tires look awesome but they have to go. Do you think I can get $500 for a set of 95% tread outlaws?
Other than that timing chain and guide the engine appears to be in great shape.
