440ex heating up

440ex heating up
i have a 2000 400ex with a 440 big bore kit, i notice that the engine seems to get quite hot, like when i touch the side of the crank case. how hot is too hot? i installed a fan to help keep it cool, any other ways to help keep it cool? thanks
