I have an 02 Recon with the 3 blink code which by everything I read should be the angle sensor. My question is will it hurt for me to manually shift which I would prefer anyway? I can get the foot shifter a lot cheaper than the angle sensor.

 

Do you mean for an permament use? or just til you get an sensor? I wouldn,t do it for an permament fix, the ECM Could fail[electtronic control module] and cause bigger problems. For temp I think could be fine..

 

Change out the angle sensor - put it in neutral before you start.
