Default PLEASE HELP, starting issues

bike is an 03 rancher es 350, FE version. when i press start button, there is a clicking or popping noise coming from the magnetic starter located behind battery. i bought a new magnetic starter and it still does the same thing. each time i hit the start button, this magnetic starter just has a popping noise, and the bike doesnt turn over. i checked fuses and looked around battery compartment dont see any cut wires. what could be causing this?
thanks in advance for any info

I'd take the starter off and see how the brushes look, and clean it up while it's apart. If they look like they need replaced, take them by a starter shop and see how much they sell them for. Also may check ebay and see if they have rebuild kits. Check the solenoid while you have it down too.

Take off the starter and replace the brush sets - clean up the armature while youre in there
DISCONNECT battery first
