2004 Foreman 450ES Speedo/Gear Indicator problem
Hey guys,
On my '04 Foreman 450es, the speedo has always read REALLY fast (made it show 73mph in the yard yesterday) and it appears that it is also counting miles just as fast too.
The other thing that there is no gear indicator on the display either, when we bought it I just assumed the older ones didn't have it since the ES works perfectly, but after reading on here it appears that it should. We bought it awhile back showing under 100 miles and everything looked 100% percent new so I had no reason to think anything was wrong...
What do you guys think? Should it have the gear indicator? Is that related to my speedo reading 1.5x the actual speed? Am I correct that the same input feeds both miles and speed, meaning that it is also counting miles at 1.5x?

I owned a 2000 450ES, it had a gear indicator display, Mine read the speed and distance in Kilometer not Miles.
70 kph = 43 mph
Miles to Kilometers is: miles x 1.6 = Kilometers
Kilometers to miles is : Kilometers x 0.62 = miles.
Take your fuses out from under the seat and give them a cleaning it would help my ATV when it had some quirky troubles, also I was told the "es" need a healthy battery for everything to run right, not a battery at 70% that can still manage to start the motor.
