Default Looking at 2003 rancher es

I'm going to go look at an 03 rancher 350 es. It has 3100 miles, about 750hrs and he wants $2700. First of all, if it is in good shape, is this a good deal? Second, can I get some tips on what to look for in terms of things wrong with it? For example, how can I test the front drive system to make sure it's working properly?

Thanks for any tips or help

check the oil see how black it is. check the air filter located under the seat. listen to any load noises when the engine idles if valves have never been checked you will hear them ticking. see how well the brakes work if they drag or not. how well the bike shifts up and down. visally examine for any leaks of oil especailly on the left side. Otherwise there a solid machine got same year and model love my use it almost everyday and works great.
