Default 2005 400ex problem HELP!

The other night i went riding with my buddies on my 2005 400ex and it started right up and ran just fine. And of course as always it got a little dirty so i brought it home and this morning i took it to the car wash and washed it and when i got it home i started it up. I let it warm up and took off. i got about half a mile down the road cruising and all the sudden the engine just died. I pulled over and tried to start it. The engine will crank but not roll over, if i give it a little gas it will roll over but instantly die. I was wondering if this was due to water in the fuel from washing it or just a conincidence and actually a bigger problem. thanks

Probably water in the electrical or fuel. Let it alone for a day or so and see what happens. If it starts and runs fine, it was electrical. If you still have problems, drain the gas and carb, fill it with fresh gas and try again.

make sure your choke isn't on and that you have your gas on... if that's good then probably water in the gas.
