Default more power for honda recon

i have a 1998 Honda 250 recon and it is completely stock. i want to get more power and speed out of it and so far i have thought of putting a new exhaust on it and a dynojet carburetor kit. anything else that i can do that doesn't cost a fortune amount of money?

If i had a recon i just couldn't see spending a lot of money on a pipe. I've seen people make custom pipes from the stacks there at tractor supply. Re-jetting may be a little difficult I'd say though.

Just an idea, but if you go t for the $300 slip on, heres a link to a good sounding pipe.

Not much you can do to the low reving OHV motors Honda uses in there utility ATVs, my fiend bought a pipe for his 680 Rincon and it did nothing.

Not sure why Honda does not use higher reving OHC motors like everyone else does and like Honda use in there sport ATVS and Dirt bikes.

Most folks who use utilities use them for work, hunting, etc. they seem like more of a hd truck compared to s sports car, being a sport quad.

But why not have Both, A 660/700 Grizzly with its higher hp OHC motor and in low range will out pull a 680 Rincon, and when in High range will fly down a road at over 60 mph as well.
