I have heard that the 350 grizzly does well even with no low range. People act like they do just fine plowing, mudding, etc.

Been thinking of selling my big bear once I get the 600 grizzly going but I'm just not sure really. The old big bear is so simple. No belts to worry about. No 4x4 actuator to go bad, etc. Kinda hate to sell it for that alone. Just have to get the grizzly running then decide which one I want to keep. Haha

Have you had much problem from your sportsman? I'm not a Polaris fan but would probably try one if the deal was right. They have nice features.

The sportsman is not what I consider a gas and go machine like my Big Bear was and Grizzly it needs more Tender loving Care.
My list so far in 6 years.
CV boot
Rad fan
Bendix drive
Thermal sensor

Not bad but not trouble free.

Thats not too bad. Sometimes the little stuff gets expensive, but in 6 years thats not too bad of a list for a 12 year old machine. How many miles on it?

Buy him a Rincon and your old man is going to love that. or else Rancher 420 with power steering should be a good ride for him too (it will be cheaper than Rincon). Good Luck

It has 3800 miles now and had 1100 miles when I got it.
My Canadian Dealership wanted $320 for the Rad fan ,I got a new one from "Spal" (OEM) for $80 online.

Forgot to add it needed a front hub seal and sounds like a can of marbles when you hit the starter button.(Always has)
I call it my fast couch.

...lots...and lots...of opinions here! Read a post about how Honda atv's have all the good options...just not on the same atv. I am starting to agree with that statement.

This is still a hard decision...

Those pro-EFI nuts, please don't hammer on a cold engine just because the FI lets you. Always let the engine/oil warm before going WOT.

that's a myth.

efi engine's are ready to go within seconds of starting- and the engine oil warms quicker when being ridden. efi actually allows the cold engine to start with lower rpm's, unlike choking a cold carbed engine, which instantly starts at 2500 rpm because of the choke. A cold engine sustains more wear in the first few seconds of being started than a warm engine does being run for hours. newer efi engines are designed to alleviate cold start wear.

research it
