I have a near new 88TRX250r Rear Shock and would like to use it on my 91 TRX250x.Can it be done? Any suggestions as to what It will take to make it work? thanks any info will be helpful.

 

nah, the 250R is a linkage setup..they are totally different

 

Yes I could tell by looking at the swing arms and shocks that they were not the same. I was hoping there was a kit or mod that would make it work.Thanks for the input.

 

I hate to reply to such an old thread but I need some info also.

I have the full rear from a 1986 atc 250r, shock, brake setup, swingarm, axle, rims blah blah blah. I even sawzalled out the rear section of the 250r frame.

Can this be installed on a 1987 trx250x?

 

I also have the leftover parts of the frame.
