I need new splashguards for my old, beat up, trusty Recon (non ES). I was always upset back when I got it that the later model years came with splashguards that connected to the mud flaps on the front fender. It looked sturdier and seemed like it would protect your feet from mud/snow much better.

Does anyone know if the splashguards from those later year Recons would bolt onto the body/foot pegs of an old style 01?

My guess is that they would fit. Recons remained the same for years.

 

The front plastic was changed, the digital dash models also had a new top end to the engine. So I would put your 01 model alongside a later one and compare the way both the rear and front plastics join the footwell.
