Default Breaking in New ATV question

I've recently bought a honda quad and there's 4 hours in the machine. I was invited to go on an ATV trip with some people I'll be going 80 miles, my question is since my ATV is new and still breaking in will it cause any damage to go on this long of a trip ??.

Welcome to the forums.

I'd change the oil.

The dealership told me to change the oil at 100 miles.

Don't let it slog away in high gear at low revs, Don't have it revving it's nuts off, and don't leave it idling. If the fan comes on you are pushing it too hard. Engines don't need running in as much as they used to, when tolerances on components were bigger, but prudence dictates caution.

Go have fun, do not work it hard, vary your speed, do not open it wide open for anything other than a very short burst. Use your gears so you dont make the engine work hard. As soon as you get back change the oil and filter. Should be just fine!
