2004 Honda Rancher 400 AT feels like not going full speed...
So I have been owning this 2004 Honda rancher 400 for about 8 months. It’s great, it helps with work, it is fun to drive, and we got it 8 months ago with only 200 miles on it! Though it is amazing and all, it has a problem that I noticed and no thought it was a problem. The quad has automatic and eps options. In automatic, it tops out and revs high at 40 mph! I heard 2003 Honda foreman 350 go 55 top speed! And then in eps mode, it goes 25 mph top in the top 5th gear!!! My dad and friend don’t think that it is a problem, but after some research I found out it was a problem. I haven’t found a clear answer of what to look for or how to fix it, but can someone please help me!!

There was an ECU fault on 2004 Honda 400s, at 200 miles on the clock your bike could have missed the recall. Check the vin number with a Honda dealer. This was before my time as a Quad mechanic so I can't say if your symptoms are what the recall was about. Keep that 400 in good condition for as long as possible, the new 420 autos are rubbish compared to that model.
