I bought a Suzuki LT125 (in early 1983)when I was twelve. I still have it and it is a great little machine to start out on if you can take the pounding.

first three wheeler sold in USA was the US90 in 72. This thing would fold up so you could put it in your trunk! It had rimless ballon tire.

Suzuki in 83 came out with the quadrunner 125. I still have the magazines. I was 15 at the time and owned a 82 atc 250r. We laughed at the time thinking what a stupid idea. When the quadracer 250 came out we laughed no more. It eat us up at the tracks, threewheeler riders didn't want to race in the same class. A few years later three-wheelers where history.

I do know one thing. 230 Quadsports did come out in 84 but they were 85 models. Suzuki came out with the lt125 and the 125 3 wheeler the same year. What about these old oddysees?

What's your definition of a Quad. Back in the 60's lots of companys made 4 wheelers most popular probably would be Terra Jet, 4Wd 440 Kohler 2cycle, & amphibious. Also there were Penguins, these were amphibious & also road legal in Can in late 60's.
