My 95 300EX has been a great quad since we bought it used from a dealer in 1998. But lately when I've been riding at motocross tracks or other places the motor has been dying when go over jumps. Not on every time that I jump does sit do this, but every now and then when I come up to doubles and I jump the first hill into the middle of it, when I get ready to jump the second hill, the motor bogs down and I lose all power. If I blip the throttle, it just does nothing. The only way I can regain power is to downshift from 3rd to 2nd and pin the throttle for a second. I need to know what the problem is so me and my dad can fix it or have it fixed. All of you riders and mechanics out there that have a clue of what might be wrong, please reply. I will greatly appreciate it.

The engine is not geting any fuel/air. Actually its not an engine problem its carburation. Take the carb off and clean it real good make sure there is not any water in the bowl thats splashing up. Then check the float hiegth. If it still does this after doing theres a product that fixes this. Its made by PC. I can't remember what its called but I'll find out. Go thru the carb first. Its probably just a little bit of water in the bowl.

Make sure the vent line from the gas cap is not crimped. That will cause it to starve too.

Well first make sure there's enough gas and not on ON when it needs to be on Reserve [trust me some people...]

Bermbanger is right. It's not the engine. It's the carb or air filter. The carb is probably clogged with something [im not ashamed to say there was like a food wrapper in my old TRX125 but that was a few years ago].
