Got your dander up a bit eh weasel.I agree that the Cat is slow but I will take the power and torque anyday.As far as being heay goes I dont care.I dont lift mine and dont expect too.Maybe its the extra weight that makes it good in the mud.Sorry about the little dig about the Rubicon being a Little Womens machine but the one that I pulled around all day was no good what so-ever.Some of it might have been the rider but I am not exactly an expert in the mud thats why I need something that will go through it more times than not.My friend with the Rubicon did trade it on the same Cat as I have the next day.Whether you believe that or not is up to you.I know its true.About the problem with the Cat's shifter I will give you that one.The rocker shifter is garbage.I had a 19999 manual shift and hated it,the first thing I did was modify the shifter to make it more like a motorcycle shifter.That solved a lot of problems.I dont have any problems with the shifter on my 500 though.Its automatic.Later dudes.Ride Hard!!! P.S. Gotta love the new grizzly.I didn't mean all the Rubicons were that bad but the one I pulled sure was.

Fine buy what you want, but don't come crying to me when your good ole' 3x4 ends up in a predicament and your forced to walk home.

My advise is if your not going to buy a polaris, you better get a winch cuz your going to need it.

I try to look out for all you inosent bystanders when it comes to buying a "4x4" ATV and this is the thanks I get.

Live and learn!

Y'all's just funny!!! There are a couple of ya that seem to do a good job posting opinions and not getting carried away... well at least most the time.

The rest of you... grow up. My goodness. We all have different opinions about what's the best or what is most reasonable. I bought my Warrior cause it was the most reasonable bike for me. It had nothing to do with what is the best, because THERE IS NO BEST QUAD. It's that simple. What is best for me, is not best for you, cause we all have different needs. Once the rest of you realize that, then this board will be extremely useful again and not just a yelling match.

Alaska-
Thanks man, I appreciate that. When it comes to my family, I'll gladly put myself at risk in order to save them from possible danger. Always have, always will. Of course, I sure wish she'd listen to me sometimes, she's damn near got me killed a few times now! Sisters-go figure. Heh heh heh. You know what's kind of funny-I took her on a hike with a buddy of mine, he wimped out early and headed back to camp. We had radio's with us, he called up and said to be careful, that he thought he'd seen some cougar tracks. Well, sure enough, about 20 minutes later as we were coming back down, I jumped a cat from behind a log some 30 yards away. He circled up and came around from behind about 15 minutes later. Man, she was scared to beat hell! I was kind of irritated, as I REALLY wanted to bag him, but couldn't get sight of him long enough to take a shot. Hell, I was lucky to spot him the first time-let alone twice! Aside from the wreck, we did have a good time.

Hey, I MIGHT be up in Anchorage later this summer. I think there is some marathon run or something up there that my sister is running in. There will be no way I can get the 'Cat up there, but I'll look you up if I can make it (low money right now), if nothing else, just say hey.

ScramDaddy-
As far as I'm concerned, whether it be a Sportsman or not, a winch is as important to a quad as bullets are to your gun! Course, as you know with the work I do, I'd NEVER be able to clear the logs or clean my property with out it. It never ceases to amaze me the things you can do with a winch and a couple good ****** blocks. I tell you though, it was a very sad day when I had to use the winch last friday to lift my 'Cat strait up a tree to set it down on top of my trailer, as the front left wheel is now about to fall off due to the little accident. Again, Here Here Mr. Warn!

Take care guys, Best of Luck and Happy Trails!

Mike

Cowboy, what possessed you to lift your quad vertical in the air to set it on your trailer.

You can go to my site and see me pulling a 450 Foreman out of 8" of mud. These things are terrible in the mud. Stick to paved roads if you buy one, if you don't like getting stuck every fifteen feet.

Honda= outdated, overated, and overpriced.
