The first time I rode my 400ex it had stock tires, and I was spinging bad in the mud. Then I got some Holeshots front and rear. I thought they were not going to help in the mud (just on the trail) but were I was spinging in the mud now I was wheelieing out of it.

i use holeshot xct on my 300ex. we ride on trails and on a hardpack track. we also do mudding, inclines, and drag race. the holeshots kick *** in each catagory.

I also have the all-traks on my 250X, they hook up great, but not so much that you can't slide the bike in a corner if you wanted to, and are awesome in the mud, and are good on hardpack too, and so far...they have a great tred life.
