Well I am finally getting around to buying a new quad. Since money is limited, I have decided to get a 2001 Recon. Right now since the 2002's will be coming out soon, the 2001 Recon is fairly cheap. My question is (and this is probably one that has been asked a million times) but what would be some good mods to consider? I ride trails most of the time, which usually entails a little muddin' here and there. What would you recommend to make this Recon to perform better? Thanks in advance for any help/info provided!

If you go through mud or water, and if it gets to deep, it is always good to have a snorkle on ya! I really dont know of much mods for recons, but if you go to fmfracing.comlook under products, then go by brand, then honda. Then choose recon, and it will list all the aftermarket products they have!!

I have a pretty modded recon, so I should be able to help. First off, for any mud at all, get new tires. I like 22x11-9 Sur-traks for the recon in muddy/trail conditions. Also put some electrical grease on the spark plug cap for water. I've done a considerable amount of mods on mine, so if you have a question email me (zurc@wilkshire.net).

22x12.5x9 ITP Spider Tracs are also very good tires...
