I have a buddy who wants to put a pipe on his Recon. He was wanting to know which pipe would give him the best results and if it is worth the money. thx for the help.

This is just me saying this but for me the extra money spent on the pipe and then to rejet the carb I don't feel like its worth it. I can keep up with most anything on the trails and when I get stuck or in really hard places we have the 300 4x4 to pull the Recon out. It only on the open rode that the Recon won't keep up with the big bores. It just hangs back with our 300. Chet

Before I went to the expense of a pipe I would consider a little airbox mod and re-jet. The end of your snorkle on the Recon has a hole the size of a quarter. I once opened mine up thinking it might help and it ran terrible. Obviously it was flowing more air and needed re-jetted. I was about to sell my Recon, so I just closed it back and left it at that. Spend a few dollars on bigger jets then open the end of the snorkle up and start experimenting. Even if you do end up getting a new pipe, the airbox will be the limiting factor and will need modified.
