i decided to get my suspension right on my 400 before i did the motor , my +2 a arms , +4 axle , and mostly my zps shocks help an un beliveable amount. i can carry tremendous corner speed ,in the middle of the corners i can slam the gas to my hearts content and it wont 2 wheel unless its really tacky. i can rev it with the clutch and then dump it and fly out of corners if i want to. now that i junked the stock shocks i can run at the biggest jumps as fast as the quad will take me without bottoming out. dont get me wrong i paid a pretty penny for my suspension setup but i think it was well worth it. i have also been eyeballing the ims 440 kit. i gave 900 for my TCS shocks from k and k atv , their website is kandkatv.com , 450 for my a arms from jd performance , their site is jdperformanceatv.com , and i bought the lsr axle from a friend that races GNC for 250 bux , it only had a few hours on it and was perfect so donthate me too much for that bargin .

My 440 has 11:1 wiseco megacycle cam mild porting stainless valves, stiffer valve spring, titanium valve retainers, edelbrock carb and a pingry oil tank.It runs really well i havent put a clutch in it yet but i know it will need one soon. If you ride in the woods much i highly reccomend a 1 1 1 1/4 over swingarm to get full use out of the power in the woods. so your not pulling the frontend up all the time.Raising your gearing helps alot with the extra power. The main thing is changing your oil often beacuse thats the only protection the engine has

I am running a 426 kit in mine but the extra things I had done are installing larger intake valves, a xr400 cam, 3 angle valve job and a full porting and polishing. I love mine, I can catch and pass friends 400ex's who had a head start like they were riding in second gear.

Before going to other companies for the work on your machine and purchasing off the big bore kit. First go to PRO FAB ATV and you will most likely get more for your money and they are a reliable source. Their number is 1-740-654-0734 ask for Scott he is the owner and will spend alot of time helping you get what you are looking for.

I also wanted to give a quick plug to Pro Fab ATV. This year I had Scott build me a 250X engine. He went out of his way to keep me informed about the status of my motor, calling me at home and at work several times. Great guy, nice prices, quality work, fast turn-around time. I highly recommend Pro Fab.
