A Gearing question everyone should read!
#1
So winters coming, Snows going to be falling and if ordered snow tires. I got the 22in alltaks and I want to change my gearing so I can turn these things like my 18in tamers. I'm just a little confused I think 14 tooth front will make me accelerate faster right? I figure that all I need to do is change my front sprocket and it won't be too sluggish. I feel like an idiot for asking this question but I have heard that the 15 will make me accelerate faster and I don't want to waste my $ on the wrong sprocket. Please help!

You should have a 15 tooth on it now if it is a stock 400ex. Go to atleast a 14, depending on how you ride, you may prefer a 13 with the big tires. Smaller front will cause faster acceleration and better pulling power. As would going bigger on the rear (but that cost more $) Personal suggestion, don't buy an expensive sprocket just to try out, Go to Rocky Mountain ATV and buy a 13t and a 14t both for $14... Then Try it...

Why would EVERYONE have to read this ?
anyways to bring it back to the same ratio it's at with the 18's you will have to go to a 13T sprocket every two inches of tire = 1T on the front sprocket or aproximatly 3T on the back.

haha its brings attention. I meant to say 16 tooth(since i have a BMS case saver)I'm just going to get a 14 tooth to leval it out to stock. My other question is if i get the 13 tooth with my big rear tires will i have more top speed or the same drop is speed as with my tamers? Thanks
