How will a K&N filter help improve my Honda Fourtrax 300 4x4?

Hi; I own a 99' Fourtrax 300 4x4 and a 01' Rancher ES. When I first bought the Quads, my first thought was to "upgrade" to a K&N. The Honda filter though is first class with the easily maintanable, washable foam filter. I would doubt that the Aftermarket is any better and that you would notice any difference in any respect. Just my thoughts. Good quading.

I've got a 300 also, with a k and n, jet kit, and a supertrapp pipe. Just the k and n will not make that much of a difference. If you rejet, they're might be a little gain, but not much, cause your still restricting the gases exit from the cylinder. A free flowing exhaust would help some, while the biggest power gain on fourstrokes will come from more compression, cam , or a big bore.
