My friend and I went to the sand dunes yesterday and rode for about two hours then all af a sudden his bike wouldnt rev while it was in gear. IN neutrul and in reverse it would rev fine but 1st through 5th it would not rev. If you punched te gas it would almost die. So then we loaded my bike into the truck and he got on his bike to load it in then it worked fine. And when we got home it worked fine. What would make the bike do this. It wasn't the spark plug becaues i pulled it at the dunes and why would it rev in reverse and nuetrual but not in 1st through 5th. Help us out if this has ever happened to kyou or if hyou know what is going on with this bike.

 

It is fairly common for these bikes to get crap in the carb/jets. I had a similar situation, and when I dropped the float bowl, there was a bunch of black caca in there. I used carb cleaner to flush out the jets and bowl and no problems since. I think that if one of your jets gets partly obstructed, the bike may still free rev or idle, but die under load, i.e. in gear.

My recon problem is very unique.I got one for my wife for valintines day, Now we are getting a divorce. My problem now is, when is someone going to buy it from me. I hope your problem is easier to fix.
