Sorry about that Quadsport post. Forgot I was in the Honda forum. Now to my question. Would 25 inch tires be ok on my stock Recon? Has anyone ever tried it? Did they clear the rear fenders? Did the engine have enough power to turn them? Thanks a lot.

 

Your motor would have a very hard time in mud and hills. I wouldn't recomend 25's on a Recon. Try some agressive 22's or maybe 23's. 25's would just plain suck on a Recon, I doubt they would even clear the fenders.

 

find me some rear 23s for a 9 inch wheel and i'll try 'em.

 

Before I sold my Recon, I swapped the rims off my Wolverine onto it,man it looked great !!!! The 12 inch rims and 23 inch tires looked like they were made for it, and the bolt pattern and offset are the same on the Yamaha and Honda,so no clearance problems. It looked a lot sportier, and seemed to roll down the road fine. See if you can find someone getting rid of some stock 12 inch Yamaha rims and put some 23 8 12 front and 23 10 12 on the back, or better yet, find a buddy with a Yam. and do a quick swap to see how you like it.
