Back Order

Ive been waiting for a D.G. Exhaust from Dennis Kirk since January 22. Is there a problem with D.G. getting them their stuff. I heard some rumors about some ships not being able to get here, but i thought that stuff was sent by plane. Do i wait it out or just settle for a different exhaust system.

DG products are shipped by truck. They wont get just your pipe, but pipes for quads, motorcycles, etc.
They are sent at one time when they have enough orders.
Also be realistic that DG pipes for a 350X is probally the last priority DG has. Right now, their focus is on building pipes for quads and the steet bikes. Their cruiser pipes are among the best sellers in the industry. They wont build just one pipe for a three wheeler to fill an order.
If you really need a pipe soon, look in the catalog and write down the part numbers of other pipes. Then call Dennis Kirk back with the numbers to see if they have any of those in their warehouse.
I have seen exhaust systems back ordered as long as 6 months. Some longer.

Strange...my friends have never had delays on their orders through Dennis Kirk w/DG products. They have ordered a total of 5 bumpers and 1 skidplate. Maybe those come from a different place.
Either way, if what KNOWSALOT says is true, that is not good business ethic. I'd rather pay a little more and get better pipes quicker.

I enjoy riding it. When I bought it last October, I had really high hopes for being competitive on it. I took it to a Wednesday night practice at the track, and the chain came off equaling a busted case. It stayed broken for about 5 months in my shed, then I went to work on it. A little after Christmas this year, I stripped it down to the crank, and went back up through the motor. The frame also got a fresh coating of ruby red powdercoating. It has been one week since I finished it. It was on Wednesday, October the 18th when I broke it, and Wednesday, April the 3rd when I cranked it again. I drag raced YoDaddy and blew a head gasket. 2 days ago(wednesday) I replaced it and rewired it. Runs really strong now.
On the track, I'm used to the weight/plushness of the Banshee, so the R is alot different. It corners faster, jumps easier, and handles alot better. For an MXer, it's number 1. For a duner, I'd take the Banshee.
