My Rancher is out of commission for a while.

Much to my dismay, while turning a corner this afternoon, my front wheels kicked out. I looked underneath and low and behold, the upper A arm weld snapped off the frame. This one is going to hurt me. It will be covered under warranty but it is going to keep me off my ride for a few weeks. They have to replace the frame. ARGH!!!
Anyone else have this problem or did I get the lemon?

Honda had a recall on the front a-arms . There were cracks in the weld. Honda said that if found during a inspection that they would take the bike back and send you a new one. Just some info that Honda sent me on mine and thought you should know. Hope things work out.

Gee whiz that is something to make a change of choices, I got a Rancher to and I wouldn't be happy if this happened to me. How long will it take to put a new frame under it? Did the bracket holding the a-arm break right off the frame? No matter what happens it is not a good thing , especially for the Honda name,or for you . How many miles you got on the quad? Good luck and I sure hope they don't make you wait to long.

I just got off the phone with Honda Customer Support. They were very supportive and I should have a definate answer as to the resolve. I confirmed that my quad was on the recall list. I don't know why I never got a recall notice. I am expecting a new quad as this one will never be the same with a frame replacement.

Sorry to hear that Phalynx! It sucks to be without a ride. I guy I ride with put his 450es into a ditch hard and bent his frame. It took better than 4 weeks to get the frame. I hope you have better luck!

Yeah, there was a guy back in Jan. who bent his frame on his Rancher and it took 3 weeks just to get the frame. I expect Honda will do the right thing and replace my Rancher. I love my service team at my dealer but they are not a factory assembly line. It will never be the same if they try to replace the frame.
I have 320 miles on it.
Other than the reverse problem and this, I have had no problems with it and I would still choose it today (maybe a technical inspection first).
Yes, everyone should ride today in rememberence of my Rancher. I believe the standard "Missing Quad Formation" will do.
