Default Fan over ride switch on my Rubicon..

...Hey I noticed my recently purchased 01 Rubicon has a fan, I own other street-bikes that also have fans and I always install a "manual" switch to turn on the fan before it needs to come on, I plan to install a temp gauge as well, my question is "Where is the best place to "tap" in to the fan? the fanswitch? the wire? has anyone else done this? if so what worked best?
Thank you
MM

If you do a search for Fan switches or something along those lines, you should bring up a few old posts that discuss this. One guy has directions on how he did it. I would suggest putting a relay in somewhere so you don't burn switches out as the fan does draw a few amps.

Make sure to tightly twist the wire connection and solder it. Also should use heat shrink tubing or at least good electrical tape such as 3M, not the crappy $.50 drug store variety.
