2 years ago when I replied, our Rancher had 600 miles on it, 2 years later it only has 1200 miles on it. Oh well, still zero problems.

I guess there just hasn't been too many problems with the Rancher in the last couple years. Short list.

Bought this one last fall, ride it about 8 hours every week. No problems yet. Change the oil every 16 hours....spray WD-40 on all metal parts after cleanup. (I wash bike immediatly after riding). I ride it for sport, not work....usually trying to keep up with Z400's, 400Ex's, etc. Woods, mud, even MX track. Gets better air than a 300EX believe it or not! Only damages are cosmetic, floorboards keep breaking apart. Too bad they weren't built a little tougher. Also, bike is really slow and suspension is too stiff. Wish it had the handling of the older 300's. JM2Cents..

GreatCanadian . .

I had the same problem you described about the Speedo showing increasing Km/h when you give gas in neutral!
I have this happen just one time, and don't seem to be critical . . . and it was on a Foreman . . . .

Did you guys read about the shootout between the Eiger and the Rancher 400 in this months Dirtwheels? The Eiger had to push the Rancher up the snowy hill.

Short tow rope, the Rancher was pulling the Eiger up the snowy hill.
