Rancher Modifications
#2
phalynx,
Can't believe you started this thread. What I've read you are the "King of the Rancher Mods".
I've put a winch and cycle country snow plow on mine. Soon will replace the OEM tires. Also shopping for a gps.
My warranty is up on May 6th. After that I will make the modification to start in any gear and to shift into reverse without the button.
Why did you remove your lift kit? The lift kit was on my list of future modification.
Did you mount your Blackwaters on the original rims? I am debating between the Balckwaters and the Mud Bugs. Any comments/suggestions would be great.

lol, It would be cool to be called that, but I am sure somebody has something really cool added that might interest me. The Rancher is so new everyone is waiting for mods, I guess.
I took the lift off because of some CV problems. As it turned out, the problems were related to my A Arm failure. The lift will go back on when I get my Rancher back.
Blackwaters are on new rims. If you are going to run more mud than trails, then get Mudbugs. I got the Blackwaters cause I ride a lot more trails than mud.

Phalynx, I am getting a Rancher 4x4 es in a few months. Does your wheeler have any problems pulling the 26" Blackwaters? Can you tell me how the vamps turn out? Is your Rancher a good mudder? I am going to find out if supertrapp is going to come out with a exhaust for it soon. I will tell you want I find out.

Phalnx,
I saw your video of the wheelie riding. I have a rancher as well. how in the world did you get the front of of the ground. I think maybe my bike has something wrong with it. I know I can't get it off the ground like that.

get goin in 1st gear. when ya pop it into second position yourself way back on the seat and yank hard one the handlebars. (do this all at the same time you hit second gear) the rancher will have more than enough power to pull the wheels up like that.

cartman is right. The Rancher has more than enough power to wheelie all day long. Trick is "timing" it is crucial to get it to wheelie. I can now wheelie from start from 1st to 2nd and from 2nd to 3rd. Put your rear on the rear and pull back just before you shift. It will work, keep workin on it.
