Default chest protectors?

Just looking for some opinions. I'm goin to race some harescrambles this summer and am looking for a good chest protector that will fit and protect while ventilate properly. I'm thinking of either the Thor Aftershock or the Fox Roost 2, any other opinions or good reports out there? I'm about 6'1", 200lbs.

Default chest protectors?

Ive got the Answer Edge chest protector and love it. In fact, i love it so much that I wear that and a t shirt and will go without my jersey. The Edge is also available in large and X-large for a more comfy fit. I also was looking at the Fox Airframe. Pretty sweet looking,So sweet that i wouldnt want to scratch it

Default chest protectors?

G'day Pudl, again.
Hopefully my response is more appropriate this time.
I use the Fox Airframe. It's that comfortable that you forget it's on & looks good, so not embarassing to wear.

Thanks from down under Geoff.

I am smaller guy around 5' 6" 150lbs., I have an airframe and I really like it. I bought it for looks and becuase I knew FOX would make a quality unit. I am thinking about getting one of their new chrome series for added blinga. I have taken a couple hard hits with mine and so far so good. Basically, if I am riding I am wearing it so it is definetely comfortable.

Default chest protectors?

Ive never worn one in my 8 year adventure of off roading starting around 8 years old. Im now 17 and i mean they seem like a good idea but i cant spend that money when I could put jersey and etc into aftermarket parts for a bike. has any of you ever had one save you in any way?
