You will get spanked unless you weigh 100 lbs and he weighs 400 lbs.

Been there, done that.

I have a friend that weighs 1/2 of what I weigh and I can take him easily on my Banshee. He is piped, reeds and filtered and his quad is in great shape. I have basic bolt on mods.

Here's the link: DS650, 250R and Banshee Races

Nothing against the 250R but it is no drag racer by any means unless it's ported/big bore or something.

wyo, i agree that 250r's respond best to big bore jugs. But ive also seen a couple stock jugged 250rs that would really put that shame to a banshee. Same with a banshee though. You have some motors that have a really good setup that run really well on stock cylinders. But any stock jugged motor isnt a drag motor. The people who design aftermarket jugs have performance racing in mind. Thats why aftermarket jugs are made for both bikes, because its hard to make a stock jug efficient enough to be a "drag" motor. But yes, stock jugs can run exceptionally well.

Just do some port work then go smoke his butt. I have a 265cc APX R and I can beat a Banshee modified from start to finish and if you throw a jump or a curve into the race I will smoke a Banshee. But if I run against an APX Banshee in the drag race it will blow my doors off.

I'm not sure what the CR125 has to do with this but It's safe to say a CR125 will NOT beat a piped Banshee in a drag race. That's been my experience. Now a CR250 will whoop a Banshee pretty good.

As far as a 250R and a Banshee with the same mods - well, the Banshee is faster in a drag race. The Banshee ought to be faster - it has an extra 100ccs on the 250R.

There are some extremely fast 250Rs but they are generally big bore kits.
