250x clutch

I just purchased a 87 250X. When I first got it the clutch did'nt engage till right near the end of the pull. I completely replaced the clutch but it has'nt made a difference. Any help would be appreciated.

What did you replace? Basket, springs, plates, cable? Did you try adjusting the cable after the new clutch was installed?

Sounds like the cable needs adjusted. I had teh same problem with my 300ex and when I played with the adjustment thing on my lever, it fixed it. As your plates wear, you will have to re-adjust.
