which do you perfer lt-250 or honda 250r

 

I would take a Honda 250R over a lt 250 any day.

 

I own both... The Honda is a much better all around machine... The LT has a freckle more power (Stock for stock)
The Honda responds better to mods (IMHO) and has far superior suspension and handling characteristics.

My personal opinion... they are both a winner! Sure wish the manufacturers would build them again!

 

The Honda also looks better. LT's are a bit funny looking in the nose.

 

GO WITH A TECATE.........no jk, if you could find one for a decent price in decent condition. I agree, they have a funny nose, and the zillas are even worse. Typical 80's, always wondering what they were thinking......just so you know im not flaming anything, i would love to own one, but cant find any worth buying in my area.

 

I'd love to have a Tecate! Tried to buy one once, but it was beat to he!!

There's not as many aftermarket parts for them either... (ANother downfall)

The honda is easier to do maintenance on.

 

The only advantage I could see for getting an LT would be they sell for mad cheap bills. Honda's much more advanced 250R is far superior in just about everything else, you could argue that the LT has more power but 370 + kits are readily available for TRX's and chances are you'll need to go through the motor sometime, so thats not really an issue.

 

They actually make a 350 big bore kit for the LT250, but they arent as fast as the 370 honda's
