Default K&N on a recon

I think I might soon order a K&N air filter and outerwear for my recon. What I want to know is if I will have to rejet it and is the jet-kit really worth all the extra money, and if I do need to rejet what size jet would I need?? Also what will I notice for improvement, added throtle response and a "little" bit of pawer??
Thanks

Save your money. the biggest restriction is the little hole in the air snorkle,it is the size of a quarter,by just opening it up a little you will need to rejet up several sizes,it makes that much of a difference. It will be a lot peppier off the bottom and rev a lot better, but on the bad side, it will also hit the very stingy rev limiter a lot faster, so you will need to shift more, but you will definately notice a good amount of pickup. Just mod the snorkle and jet up several sizes, and you will get the same gains as the almost 100 bucks for a K & N and a Dyno jet kit.
